Carl Yost

Chairman and CEO

Carl Yost is the Chairman and CEO of GreenShoot Capital.  Carl spent 25 years as a managing partner / senior executive in software, technology and the accounting profession, and has extensive experience in all phases of business, including M&A, fund-raising, strategy and operations.  He currently serves as Chairman of Black Diamond Advisory, a GreenShoot portfolio company focused in the Corporate Performance Management Software industry.  

 

Carl was Managing Partner of Grant Thornton’s Technology Practice as well as the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Marketsphere Consulting.  Under his leadership MarketSphere grew to 10 offices across the US and was one of the largest technology service firms in the industry.  Carl led the successfully sale and integration of MarketSphere to Grant Thornton.  He was a Managing Partner of the Performance Management practice of Arthur Andersen and held senior finance executive positions at Motorola and Wyeth

Carl has an MBA in Finance from University of Texas Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from the University of Missouri.  He has invested in many high growth companies, including venture funds, and is a member of Charleston Angel Partners (CHAPS).  Carl has a passion for his community and is a partner in Social Venture Partners and was board chair and national leadership council chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Carl and his wife Denise reside in Charleston, SC and have three children Bailey, Kenneth and Jackson.

Adam Fahrer

Chairman and Chief Investment Officer

Adam Fahrer spent 20 years in institutional investment management primarily focused on trading, researching, and analyzing equity markets.  Adam has a demonstrated track record of investing profitably through expertise in valuation, capital allocation, scenario planning, and estimating risk/reward.
Adam has worked closely with some of the brightest minds in the investment industry.  He spent the first 10 years of his career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, working his way up to trading stocks for their family of mutual funds, actively following the market and deciding when and how to buy and sell large blocks of stocks.  He then moved to FrontPoint Parnters where during 7 years his small team's fund grew assets under management from $450M to $2.9B and was a multiple time nominee for Institutional Investor Fund of the Year.  He then worked in a family office where he managed various aspects of the business while helping the founder manage and invest his assets.
Adam has an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and a B.S. in Finance from Penn State University. Since choosing to relocate to Charleston, SC he has taken an active role in the community via investment as a member of Charleston Angel Partners and giving back as a partner with Social Venture Partners which contributes financial and intellectual capital to local non profits.

Tom Bejin

Operating Partner and General Counsel

Tom

Tom is a practicing attorney specializing in intellectual property litigation, strategic counseling and freedom to operate studies. He has handled patent, trademark and trade secret cases in State and Federal courts throughout the country.

His achievements include securing victories for his clients in matters before the International Trade Commission, multi-million dollar settlements, a rare temporary restraining order in a patent infringement case, and several preliminary injunctions in trademark cases.  Tom has represented hundreds of clients, ranging in size from start-up companies to global enterprises. He has served clients in diverse fields such as automotive, lasers, robotics and medical devices. 

Tom has an JD in Law from The University of Michigan and a B.S.M.E. from the College of Engineering - University of Michigan.

Aaron Lemke

Operating Partner

Aaron is a dynamic investment professional with extensive experience in the banking industry including relationship management, sales, research and trading of securities.  Most recently, Aaron was a Director at Wells Fargo Securities on the institutional securities trading desk. He generated ideas, negotiated and priced large blocks of stock in volatile markets as well as marketed and sold primary public offerings.  Aaron developed and grew relationships with top Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds and Pension Funds.   He held similar positions at Wachovia, Alex.Brown, Legg Mason, and Wheat First.  

Aaron holds a Masters of Business Administration from Clarkson University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Michaels College.  He is a licensed registered principal with series 24 and 4 licenses, a registered representative with series 7, 55 and 63 licenses, holds a South Carolina Real Estate Salesman license, and South Carolina Life, Health, Accident, Variable Contracts and Property and Casualty Insurance producer licenses.   He resides with his wife and 3 children in Charleston, SC.

Glenn Strovilas

Glenn

Glenn's career started in the industrial engineering department of an automotive parts manufacturer.  He then moved into the logistics world and his career progressed through companies holding various management positions in both operations and sales.   

 

In 2000 he partnered to grow Kings Express into a strong volume LTL and Truckload carrier.  He also co-owned Infinity Logistics, a freight brokerage, and created Infinity Warehousing and Packaging.  The companies’ combined revenue grew in excess of $100M.  

 

Glenn graduated from the College of Business at Ohio State with a degree in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain management.  While living in Illinois, he spent 7 years on the board of Directors for the West Chicago and Western DuPage Chambers of Commerce.  In 2008 he founded a real estate investment company DGR investments which focuses primarily on residential properties in the West Chicago area.

Rich Corboy

Operating Partner

Rich

Rich's career has been focused in technology and sales management.  Rich was an early stage employee at BlueCoat Systems, IronPort Systems, and Palo Alto Networks.  He was part of a team that grew the business from a yearly run rate of $3M in 2008 to over $900M in 2015, highlighted by one the most successful IPO’s in history in July of 2012.​

Rich has a B.S.in Management and Corporate Relations from Seton Hall University.  He has helped drive efforts in his community to raise funds for St. Jude Hospital and the local chapter of the Sunshine Foundation in Central NJ.  Rich and his wife Donna currently reside in Charleston, SC and have two children Nolan and Dustin.

Craig Ascue

Operating Partner

Craig Ascue is a second-generation business owner and public servant. Craig grew up in Awendaw S.C. and graduated from S.C. State University in 1995 where he received a B.A. in Marketing.

After college Craig joined the family collision repair business, Ascue’s Paint and Body Shop Inc. With Craig’s leadership, in 2007 the company grew into a larger more modern facility to serve their clients. Craig has lead his team at Ascue Paint and Body to managed healthy revenues; recruited human resources and maintain a strong presence in the automotive collision market with a focus on customer service.

While Craig continued to run the family business he remained involved in the Charleston community building valuable relationships and doing meaningful work. In 1997, Craig was elected to The Mt. Pleasant, District 2 Constituent School Board. Then in 2010 Craig was elected to The Charleston County Consolidated School Board. As a school board member, Craig lead several committees. In 2012-2013 Craig served as School Board Vice Chair. Other leadership positions on the board included Audit and Finance Committee, Policy and Personnel Committee and Strategic Education Committee. Craig was also nominated by his peers to be a delegate to the South Carolina School Boards Association from 2011-2014.

Ed Orlandi is one of the leading Supply Chain experts in the US with executive roles at Dr. Pepper / Snapple, Deloitte Consulting and i2 Supply Chain Technology. Ed supports GreenShoot Capital's portfolio companies supply chain efforts and leads our due diligence / optimization analysis. 

Ed is a results oriented leader with hybrid skillset combining analytical thinking and business savvy obtained through professional experience with aircraft design, management consulting, and corporate executive leadership.  Over 24 years delivering sustained results and effective change for companies across a wide range of industries including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, manufacturing, and distribution. Significant experience leading cross-functional teams driving results in strategy, process and profitability. History of driving continuous improvement both as internal leader and outside expert advisor.

Ed lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Cindy and daughter Livvy.
